Tai chi by day. Disco by night. In bed by ten.
The cat has a new favourite spot. Actually, it seems like it is everyone’s favourite spot. I am rarely completely on my own in my studio.
The Time of Her Life IV opened yesterday at The House of Smalls in Edinburgh. I have a tiny textile work on display in ‘the dollhouse’ titled ‘Mrs’. I really enjoy woking on small scale pieces, with a preference for tiny stitches, so to have my work displayed in doll’s house proportions feels very fitting. I also have a couple of pencil sketches available there too - although I most commonly draw on fabric, cotton rag paper is pretty much just that and is lovely to work with. Sadly I won’t be able to head up to Edinburgh to see the show but if you’re in the area, do pop in, it looks like a really interesting exhibition (until 27th October 2024).
I have added a couple of my pencil sketches to Etsy - they make for lovely little gifts when inserted in to a card. I have also found some good vintage haberdashery items, so I’ll get to work adding those bits too.
